About the Super Pods
To be introduced at Mech_Con 2018, the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries - Super Pod Experience will be the first time in decades where a modern MechWarrior game will be interactive with fully functional, micro-controlled hardware surfaces. Utilizing the latest in both computer simulation hardware and advancements in micro-controller interfaces, the Super Pod Experience will bring BattleMech simulation to a whole new level.
Experience Immersive Displays, Full H.O.T.A.S. Controls and Industrial Level Switches and Toggles on a completely customized Dash/Overhead Panel!
Be immersed in full Surround Sound while the cockpit seat under you rumbles with feedback from the action on screen!
Manually bring the Reactor Online, Follow the Kneeboard Checklist to bring Sensors Online and Disable Safety Systems and Enable Targeting to bring Weapons Online. Do everything right in the correct order and all systems will be nominal!
How to experience it
In order to guarantee you get to experience the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries – Super Pods, be sure to purchase a Collectors or VIP Ticket to experience the Super Pods. Standard ticket holders may get a chance to try the Super Pods if there are no Collectors or VIP holders lined up.
Why are we giving Collector and VIP Ticket holders priority access to the Super Pods?
The limit is due simply to logistics. We are only building 4 Super Pods and anticipate only ~250 people will get to experience the demo over the course of Mech_Con. Considering this information, and that we anticipate that having a 2-day family friendly event will bring more attendees this year than last, we unfortunately can't guarantee everyone gets to experience the Super Pods.
Don't worry though, Standard Ticket holders can still experience MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries at Mech_Con! We will have a standard MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Single Player Demo available for all attendees to play in larger numbers!
